Calgary’s Alternative X92.9 and Union Events are pleased to announce the lineup for the fourth X-FEST, Calgary’s Alternative Music Festival, taking place over two days at Fort Calgary in Calgary, Alberta, Canada on August 30 and 31st, 2014.

Tickets for X-FEST go on sale to the general public on SATURDAY MAY 3rd, 2014 at 10 AM MST at Ticketfly.com, XFestCalgary.com and Ticketmaster.

Renowned American rock artist JACK WHITE and British chart-toppers ARCTIC MONKEYS lead an incredible lineup that also includes indie rockers DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE and FOSTER THE PEOPLE, 2014 Juno award winners TEGAN & SARA and SERENA RYDER, Kentucky rock band CAGE THE ELEPHANT, the explosive FITZ & THE TANTRUMS, and American breakouts THE AIRBORNE TOXIC EVENT.

Rounding out the lineup are Canadian indie institution STARS, New York City duo MS MR, the energetic JULY TALK, uplifting California group THE MOWGLI’S, Vancouver alt-dance duo DEAR ROUGE and the rollicking SLEEPER AGENT.

More artists will be announced in the coming weeks.

Since its debut in 2011, X-FEST has become one of Canada’s premiere alternative music outdoor events, with an impressive roster of past performers that include Linkin Park, Blink-182, City and Colour, Weezer, Jane’s Addiction, Silversun Pickups, fun., Awolnation, Mother Mother, and many more.
