CHRIS GORDON
There is no other comedian today who is providing such a unique, original and innovative approach to comedy and audience interaction as Chris Gordon. In his first year of comedy Chris hit the airwaves nationally, as he was selected as the "#1 Pick in the Country" on CBC's "So You Think You’re Funny?" Chris Gordon’s originality continues to make an impact: from his break out performances at the Just For Laughs Festivals in Montreal and Toronto; the Seattle International Comedy Competition; Vancouver's NorthWest Comedy Festival; being featured in the Toronto showcase of NBC's Last Comic Standing; and at The Hot Tub show in Los Angeles; his appeal is undeniable.
Chris played Contrell on Season 3 of the hit AMC western Hell On Wheels. You may also recognize him from appearing nation wide in a Sports Select Lottery, or Coors Light Beer commercial or as the spokesman for the viral Youtube "Muzooka" campaign. Chris has trained and performed in Los Angeles at the prestigious Upright Citizens Brigade, the Groundlings, the Improv Olympic, as well as the world famous Comedy Store; institutions whose alumni include Will Farrell, Conan O’Brien and Jim Carey to name a few.
Chris’ style of comedy has been described as "very unusual (as usual) and very funny... it's what really sets him apart from the pack". He is seen as clean, current, hip, inventive, and edgy, which gives him an improvisational feel and a strong connection with the crowd. Offering fresh perspectives woven seamlessly with absurd observations, Chris always delivers a dynamic interactive experience that is hilarious and unforgettable.
TODD NESS
Growing up in a single parent home, poverty stricken, and living meal to meal is the exact opposite of Todd Ness’ upbringing. From the everyday struggles of living in suburbia, to the stress of constant support from family and friends, Todd has become an expert at inventing things to complain about. He has honed his comedic skills through years of being a class clown, disobeying teachers and training his upper body.
This combination of sharp whit, athletic endurance, and ability to relate to other middle class white people has enabled Todd to excel in the world of stand up comedy; earning notable credits, such as winning the 2014 Yuk Yuks Chase Your Butterfly Contest. Even though he started performing in 2009, Todd is still a fresh face on the comedy scene, especially since his prepubescent acne went away. If you enjoy having a good time, come out and experience Todd Ness first hand. If laughing hysterically with/at Todd all night doesn’t make you feel good, knowing you’re supporting his dream of moving out of his parents’ house certainly will.
Todd has performed on the YYC Comedy Festival and can be heard on CBC's Laugh Out Loud on CBC Radio.
ADAM RUBY
Adam Ruby is often described as a force of energy on stage. In under two short years, Adam has taken his act to all new levels touring Western Canada and performing for hundreds of crowds. His fresh takes on parenting, spoiled kids and what it’s like to live in a politically correct world is nothing short of hilarious.
In his first year, Adam was a top-three finalist in the Yuk Yuk’s “Yuk & Comers Comedy Competition” and has opened for major headliners from all over North America.
Most recently Adam performed at sold out crowds in Pender Harbour, Yuk Yuk’s Calgary, Airdrie and Black Diamond.
Don’t look for him to slow down anytime soon, Adam is on course for a breakout 2017/2018 season with even more dates on the books and plans to be part of comedy tours throughout Canada.
