On April 6th 2018 the lives of many changed forever when a bus carrying the Humboldt Broncos hockey team collided with a semitrailer, taking the lives of 16 people, and injuring 13 others. Cowboys N Sleds is an event created to continue the healing process by bringing people together and promoting agencies and services that responded and assisted in the Broncos tragedy. The event will feature a charity sledge hockey game at WinSport Arena featuring the drivers and outriders from the World Professional Chuckwagon Association against Canadian country music star George Canyon and his team of AllStars. Music fans will also get a unique opportunity to see George Canyon and friends perform a stripped down acoustic style post-game concert. Funds raised from the event will go to support the StrazStrong Foundation in support of Ryan Straschnitzki and STARS Air Ambulance.
