Following the October 2013 Canadian release through Roots powerhouse Six Shooter Records, 2014 Juno Award winners The Strumbellas are in the saddle and have their sights ready for the September 9th WORLDWIDE release of We Still Move On Dance Floors on Underneath A Mountain Records / The Orchard. CBC Radio 2 morning host Tom Power declared, “Toronto folk-pop troupe The Strumbellas offer up ‘some of the most daring and unique folk music’ out of Canada in decades,” while the Winnipeg Free Press stated, “To say that 2014 has been The Strumbellas' year would be an understatement”. The album is available TODAY worldwide on iTunes.
There’s no Whoa Nelly in sight! The 6-piece group is strapping on their boots and they’re leaving now – for their Ride On North American Tour! Kicking off on September 18th in Madison, WI, the tour will hit cities across North America, including Boston, NYC, Austin, L.A., Vancouver, and what’s sure to be a thunderous hometown show in Toronto at The Phoenix on November 28th (full details below).

The Strumbellas’ first US video premiere was featured on GuitarWorld for their catchy tune End of an Era and described by the site as, “Playful awesomeness”. They continue to impress fans and media with their raucous live shows and are eager to jump back on the road this fall. They will be joined by fellow Canadian acts, The Provincial Archive and Sam Cash & The Romantic Dogs for select dates.

Since the Canadian release of their sophomore album they have been long listed for the 2014 Polaris Music Prize, took home Roots & Traditional Album Of The Year: Group at the 2014 JUNO Awards, and won the SiriusXM Indie award for Folk Group Of The Year. They spent this past summer running the festival circuit with stops at TURF in Toronto, Winnipeg Folk Festival, Folk on the Rocks in Yellowknife, Live At Squamish, as well as their first tour on the Pacific Northwest of America.
