From the Promoter

“My plan was never to blow up, just to travel and get inspired.”

After endless street performances all over the world, people captured his art form on their phones and posted them all over social media, resulting in viral videos that catapulted dub fx into a brand new type of success that didn’t yet exist. The videos capture his original live looping style perfectly giving the audience an understanding of the layers that make up the eclectic one-person show.

“I like to mix all genres together jazz, reggae, hip-hop, samba, drum n bass, dubstep. whatever I’m feeling at the moment, that's the beauty of my setup.”

Imagine you're walking to work; you hear what sounds like a track from a CD played out of a Soundsystem. Instead, it's one person making all the sounds from just his voice, an FX pedal and a loop machine. Lyrically Dub FX is as real as it gets, consciously projecting positivity and self-empowerment through his music. Exactly what a street corner needs.

“I decided long ago that I want to be remembered for adding value to the world and I can do this through inspiring people with conscious lyrical content, regardless of how unpopular that may be”

Dub FX's innovative blend of genres with environmental scenery creates a holistic experience that inspires through transcendent electronic and acoustic elements.

July 2017 Dub FX goes back to his roots for his latest single, ‘Listening’. A raw dub & reggae influenced vibe that sees him draw from his original influencers. The 'Listening' lyric video can be viewed here:

In Edmonton AB Canada, one of these leaders is the MC known as Boosh, who has collected a band of some of the finest improvisational musicians this side of the river, to create a live performing hip-hop experience slicker than thieves in the night. The fusion of blues, roots, punk, and jazz keeps the crowd on their toes, while the heavy production influences of legends like Timbaland, Dr. Dre, Rick Rubin and Pharrell Williams give their recorded works a true-to-form hip-hop feel, which is all self-produced by Boosh in house. The rapper/producer is ambitious and is looking to one day be considered a legend of the game himself.

Jordan, who plays guitar and keyboard, is the co-founder of Boosh & the Dip. The group was originally put together as a live performing act centered around the first makeshift album Jordan and Boosh wrote and recorded together; a record given the suiting title of: “Adventures of the Talented & Lazy”. Bob Howse came into the picture shortly before the first album was finished, and he helped to lay down some classic material from their debut. He is the lead guitar. Next came Chris, who is Jordan’s brother, the drummer. A diva and art purist that has helped shape the group's live sound more to the ways of jazz and punk. Last but not least came JP, the bass player with pure intuition and the funk of a very special white boy.

They have pulled together in the studio with Boosh to create a new offering: the River City Riot. This two-part album set to release Fall/Winter 2015/16 respectively, will showcase the new direction and progress of Boosh & the Dip. Stay tuned!
