From the Promoter

After touring the country with Theory of a Deadman and Headstones this fall, Halifax’s own Gloryhound will return to perform at The Seahorse Tavern, in its new location at 2037 Gottingen Street, on Saturday, Dec. 20.

Released in June of this year, Gloryhound's latest release Loaded Gun includes the title track that became the band's third straight Top 25 hit on Rock Radio in Canada, following "Electric Dusk” and “Let You Down Again.”

"There's no mistaking what Gloryhound are about. It's electric guitars, bass and drums. There's some keyboard fills, but no samples, no layers of atmosphere, no loops. The band is powerful, tight, and alive. This isn't retro-rock, they aren't trying to revive any particular era or sound from rock's past. It's the group's own spin on all that's come before." - Bob Mersereau, CBC New Brunswick

With their ECMA-nominated debut Leave it Alone under their belts, Gloryhound returned to the studio in 2013, recording with producer Garth “GGGarth” Richardson (Hedley, Rage Against the Machine, Rise Against). Legendary music and entertainment producer Bob Ezrin (Alice Cooper, Kiss, Pink Floyd, Peter Gabriel, Lou Reed) came on side for the mix and polish.

Gloryhound have played throughout Atlantic Canada with rock icons Deep Purple, rocked Toronto’s Sound Academy as openers for Thin Lizzy and crossed the country as direct support for The Cult. Along with their own coast to coast headline shows, the foursome have shared the stage with CJ Ramone (of the Ramones), Thornley, Sam Roberts, Drive by Truckers and Big Wreck, among others.
