From the Promoter

What will be the most comprehensive presentation of the early Toronto punk rock scene will take place at Phi Center as part of this years Pop Montreal. With a range of media and with personalities who lived it, the cute and the trashy, Crash & Burn scene of Toronto in 1977,1978 will come to life. This new wave happening will resonate with live music performances by the Diodes and by Gord Lewis and Dave Rave of Teenage Head. The two groups have not played together since playing at CBGB's (New York) in 1977. Don Pyle , later a member of Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet, will deliver his talking photo exhibition as he was a teenage photographer at the height of the Crash 'n' Burn scene. The rare original 16mm Ross McClaren film Crash 'n' Burn will screen in the early part of the evening introduced by the manager of the Crash 'n' Burn club Ralph Alfonso. Montreal new wave band The Frisky Kids will open the live portion of the show.
