Alter Bridge, who formed in 2004 in Orland, is characterized as a “hard rock” band who made themselves known after touring with Creed. In 2004, the band's first album, One Day Remains, was certified gold by the RIAA and in 2011, they surpassed Avenged Sevenfold, Linkin Park, Three Days Grace in the "Battle of the Fans” on Fuse TV. Their fifth and latest album, The Last Hero, talks about being a hero in today's society and also marks a turning point away from the somewhat "grungy" genre of previous releases.
