MONOWHALES

With a boundless, frenetic energy, Toronto’s Ginger Ale & The Monowhales have built a reputation as one of the most memorable and energizing up-and-coming live acts in Canada. The band has released two EP’s and four singles to date including breakout single “Home”, the video for which garnered over one million views on Facebook, over 122K Spotify streams, and landed them features on Global News, CP24, and CBC Radio 1 (Song Of The Week). In addition, Ginger Ale & The Monowhales have recorded a new version of the Ontario theme song “A Place to Stand” for the Province of Ontario, which will be used heavily in TV and radio to promote the upcoming ON150 celebrations. On stage, Ginger Ale & The Monowhales believe in putting on a show – a real show - something impactful that truly engages the audience. Their performances have been described as “Flaming Lips-esque”, and the band has played in support of heavyweight acts such as Kardinal Offishall, MAGIC!, FIDLAR, and Electric Six. Since its release at a sold-out show in October 2016, Ginger Ale & The Monowhales’ latest EP BANG has been streamed over 123K times on Spotify, charted at #24 on Earshot’s Top 50, and received glowing reviews from numerous blogs. In June, 2017, The Monowhales partnered with Facebook for a performance that took place at the Facebook Canada offices in Toronto, ON. Featuring two new songs, the performance was streamed via Facebook Live and went on to receive over one million views. Too wicked to rest, the Monowhales are now in the studio recording their next single, to be produced by Al-P (MSTRKRFT, Death From Above 1979).

FEATURETTE

Toronto-based duo FEATURETTE was formed by singer Lexie Jay and drummer, Jon Fedorsen. Like their synth-heavy dream pop contemporaries Phantogram and Tove Lo, FEATURETTE is influenced by the emotionally charged, heavy hitting electro-pop sounds coming from Northern Europe and New Zealand.
After receiving a full recording grant from FACTOR Canada, the duo released a two-part debut EPs with CRAVE (limited edition) Volume 1 and 2 in October, 2015, which have been met with accolades across North America. FEATURETTE's single Broken has been featured on 102.1 The Edge in Alan Cross' 5 Songs You Must Hear This Week and their track, Give a Little, enjoyed full rotation on INDIE 88 into 2017.

Selections from CRAVE have been featured on Bullett Media, Noise Porn, Audio Fuzz, Silent Shout, Exclaim among many more, while Give a Little has been synched to television shows Degrassi, Private Eyes, and the web series, Thats My DJ!

FEATURETTE released their full-length consolidated debut LP, CRAVE in late fall of 2016.
