Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet play the Cameron House at 408 Queen St West in Toronto on Thursday August 2 2012. We will perform two shows, at 8pm and 11pm, in memory of our friend and bandmate Reid Diamond.
The 8pm show will benefit Mindfulness Without Borders. MWB focuses on education and mindfulness workshops, addressing many of the conditions that are known to encourage the development of such diseases as cancer. Mindfulness practices nurture self-awareness, healthy social and emotional development and help cultivate skills to reduce stress, develop attention and manage emotions and behaviour.

The 11pm show benefits Hospice Toronto. HT is non-profit, volunteer based and provides in-home hospice palliative care and works on a care team model, with the belief that teams of caregivers from different walks of life can best meet the needs of someone who chooses to die at home. A care team often includes spouses or partners, families, friends, neighbours, colleagues, doctors, nurses, personal support workers and volunteers. Hospice Toronto helps set up the team, provides team members with training and support, and supplements the team with skilled volunteers if required.
