Wanda Jackson is a woman with history. One of the first women country/rockabilly hit-makers, she’d had her first radio programme in Oklahoma while she was still in high school, and had her first country hit in 1954.

It was Elvis Presley, with whom she toured, who encouraged her to move away from country into rock — and the results were spectacular. In the years since she’s released 31 albums and more than 70 singles, been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and still tours non-stop.

Recent releases with Jack White and Justin Townes Earle have brought her to a new audience of “Americana” fans, and, at 75, she shows no signs of slowing down.

Ms. Jackson has appeared at the Cadillac in the past; she’ll be performing with the Rizdales, a London, Ontario band that’s worked with her before.
