Arctic Monkeys have announced the release of their highly anticipated fifth studio album, AM, via Domino on September 10th. In celebration of the new release the British foursome will be returning to North America to headline several shows this Fall. In addition to this year’s Austin City Limits Festival, the band will be making stops in Philadelphia, Chicago, Los Angeles and more!

It has been two years since the band released their critically lauded album Suck it and See which was closely followed by a coast to coast tour with The Black Keys and a dazzling stand-alone single “R U Mine”, which quickly garnered over 11 million hits in YouTube.

AM features 12 new tracks and was produced by James Ford and co-produced by Ross Orton in California. The album was engineered by Ian Shea (Coldplay, John Mayer) and mixed by multi-Grammy Award winner Tchad Blake (Elvis Costello, The Black Keys). Josh Homme, Pete Thomas and Bill Ryder Jones all make guest appearances on AM – as do the words of John Cooper Clarke, on the track “I Wanna Be Yours.”

Arctic Monkeys surprised fans last week by spontaneously releasing the first single from AM titled “Do I Wanna Know?” which is available now via iTunes.
