The tour starts September 5 in Uncasville CT and wraps September 29 in Orlando FL. Support acts for the tour will be announced soon.
The first single from SAVE ROCK AND ROLL, “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up)," is currently top #10 on the iTunes Singles Chart and is already RIAA certified gold. The new album comes out April 16; fans have flocked to iTunes for the pre-order, which instantly hit #2 on the overall album chart (behind only Justin Timberlake).
The excitement for SAVE ROCK AND ROLL continues to build as Elton John, Courtney Love and Big Sean have been named as collaborators. Also, the band unveiled the video for “The Phoenix,” which serves as the prequel to the “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up)” video which stars 2 Chainz as the lead. The band notes, “It tells the tale of how we ended up blindfolded in the back of the black van in the MSKWYDITD video. This is chapter 2 of 11. Stay tuned for chapter 3...”
The band gear up for the week of release with a performances on Good Morning America (April 16) and Conan (April 17), among other appearances to be announced.
SAVE ROCK AND ROLL is Fall Out Boy’s fifth studio album, and is their first new studio album since Folie Á Deux in December 2008.
Hailing from the Chicago, Fall Out Boy - Patrick Stump (vocals/guitar), Pete Wentz (bass), Joe Trohman (guitar), and Andy Hurley (drums) - have appeared on the covers of Rolling Stone, Spin, Blender, and Alternative Press, among others. They have performed on NBC’s Saturday Night Live, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, CBS’s The Late Show with David Letterman, ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live, and many more.
