Juno-winning roots musician and record producer Steve Dawson launches his new album Rattlesnake Cage, a collection of solo guitar instrumentals influenced by the ‘American Primitive’ sound of John Fahey, Peter Lang and Leo Kottke. Dawson’s sweet melodies and soulful playing are informed by the deep traditions of the blues, ragtime, jazz and even Hawaiian music, but he takes those influences in unexpected directions.
