Applauded as “the greatest living guitarist” and the “Picasso of the realm,” José Feliciano is an internationally renowned performer who has influenced popular music for more than two generations. Best known for his interpretations of Light My Fire, Che Sara, and Feliz Navidad, José Feliciano has been awarded more than 45 Gold and Platinum records and has won nine Grammy Awards including the LARAS Award for Lifetime Achievement.

Born blind in 1945 in Lares, Puerto Rico, Feliciano was one of eleven boys. His love affair with music began at the age of three when he accompanied his uncle on a tin cracker can. The family immigrated to New York City when he was five, and he gradually took up the concertina, the accordion and eventually taught himself the guitar. With great determination and hard work he moulded himself into the esteemed guitar virtuoso that is revered and applauded throughout the world today.
