From Birmingham, England, Electric Light Orchestra was a British rock group that released eleven studio albums between 1971 and 1986 and another album in 2001. The band was originally formed out of Roy Wood and Jeff Lynne's desire to create modern rock and pop songs with classical overtones. Following Wood's departure from the band, Lynne wrote and arranged all of the group's original compositions and produced every album.
On stage at the CNE, new and former members of the original Electric Light Orchestra will reunite in The Orchestra.
