Chevelle will bring their “most potent songs to date” (Minneapolis Star Tribune) to the east coast this August with 20+ dates in support of their horror-inspired latest album ‘La Gargola.’ The eastern run is the third leg of the band’s current 2014 tour which includes 35+ stops on the Pacific coast & in the mid-west.
The Chicago rock trio will perform cuts from ‘La Gargola,’ their "tightest work" (AllMusic) and a "sonic reinvention for the group" (Last.FM), as well as a collection of hits from their two-decade career.
Their live show features creepy on-stage props (antiqued mannequin parts, antlers, a blood-red backdrop of factory smokestacks) to amplify the dark tone of ‘La Gargola,’ which was “inspired by the underbelly of American culture” (Chicago Sun-Times) and frontman Pete Loeffler's appreciation of horror cinema including 'Rosemary's Baby,' ‘The Walking Dead,’ and 'Friday the 13th.’
‘La Gargola’ notched the band a #3 debut on the Billboard 200 (their career peak) and includes the #1 Active Rock hit “Take Out the Gunman.”
