Modern Love label boss Andy Stott and Demdike Stare’s Miles Whittaker are no strangers to working together, recently reviving their collaborative Millie and Andrea project and garnering heaps of praise from the international music press. So it seems fitting that their first ever Millie & Andrea performance in Toronto would foster a partnership of its own.

Toronto underground party crew breakandenter and MRG Concerts have partnered up to host the Manchester-based label’s stop on their Modern Love Label Tour which will also mark the Toronto debut of Whittaker’s Demdike Stare project and the return of Andy Stott since his genre bending performance at 2012’s Foundry Event Series.

The show taking place at the Adelaide Hall sees the normally late night breakandenter make a move toward a more concert oriented experience. “We’re actually quite happy for this opportunity,” says breakandenter’s Andrew Lochhead. “We’ve have many musical interests and influences that don’t always work in a dance music or DJ oriented context. This partnership has given us the opportunity to offer our fans and supporters something new, but still at the very cutting edge of the electronic music experience.”

The event also marks breakandenter’s opening of their fall season, which will also feature a slate of their celebrated dance parties featuring the best of the international electronic music underground.
