From the Promoter

The 1975 have announced details of their largest headline shows to date. Having sold out every headline show in 2014, the quartet from Manchester will play a run of dates across the UK and North America this autumn – including a landmark show at London’s Alexandra Palace in September and two nights at New York’s Terminal 5 in December.

Fans who sign up for The 1975’s mailing list at po.st/JXrlDL will receive exclusive access to tickets at 9am on June 4th. Tickets for the autumn / winter 2014 shows will be available to the general public beginning Friday, June 6th.

Putting in countless miles on the road, The 1975 have seen crowds grow significantly through 2014. The band has spent the last five months on tour taking in North America, U.K., Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and mainland Europe. Fuelled by word of mouth buzz, their live shows continue to thrill whilst consistently confounding expectations.

The 1975’s full self-titled debut album entered the albums chart at No.1 in the U.K. “One immensely hooky debut,” said Entertainment Weekly and Billboard raved, “one of this year’s biggest breakouts.” The 1975 performed on Conan, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and Late Night with Seth Meyers. The band, a recent VEVO Lift Artist and MTV Artist to Watch, won the mtvU Breaking Woodie for Best Emerging Artist.

The 1975 are lead singer Matty Healy, drummer George Daniel, guitarist Adam Hann and bassist Ross MacDonald. The 1975’s eponymous album was recorded in Liverpool’s Motor Museum, and produced by drummer George Daniel, frontman Matthew Healy and producer Mike Crossey (Arctic Monkeys, Foals). A collection of memories, overheard conversations, and snapshots in time, The 1975’s full length debut is available now via Vagrant / Interscope Records.
