Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company is pleased to announce the signing of multi-platinum rockers, Moist to its roster of Canadian talent and confirm the release of their new album Glory Under Dangerous Skies on Oct. 7th along with a national tour commencing Nov 7th.

Moist’s triumphant return began with a series of exclusive sold-out shows last fall and culminates with the forthcoming release of their long awaited new album which was recorded in Toronto this past winter and produced by Moist guitarist and Juno nominated producer, Mark Makoway.

“Mechanical”, the first single from Glory Under Dangerous Skies has been a top 5 rock radio smash this summer. The band is poised to release their follow-up track, “Black Roses” in September.

“The new album and the shows we’ve played this summer have reminded us all of how much fun it is writing music and performing together” says lead vocalist David Usher. “It feels very natural doing this with the band again and everything has just fallen into place. We’re really excited about the new music and the amazing reception we’ve had.”

Since the release of Moist’s multi-platinum debut album, Silver, the band has chalked-up a long list of incredible accolades that include selling 1.3 million albums worldwide that include the 4x platinum debut album Silver (1994), the 3x platinum sophomore release, Creature (1996) and the double-platinum release, Mercedes Five & Dime (1999). The band holds 10 Juno nominations to their name along with two wins, Best New Group (1995) Best Video (1997) for “Gasoline”.
