Here’s what the guys have to say about throwing a birthday party for themselves: “So we play a lot of shows and in particular we play a lot of festivals. We’ve always loved the festival experience…because people can discover new music they’ve never heard before, while being outside, and having this temporary license to get weird. Hell, this is how a lot of our fans have discovered us! There has always been that casual, aspirational conversation amongst us where we are all like, 'Dudes, wouldn’t it be amazeballs if we could throw OUR own little festival just based on music and sh-- that we like?' Pretty selfish eh?

So we want this to be a Birthday Party for everybody; you guys, ourselves, and the other artists on the bill. And yes, in a way us throwing a birthday-themed festival is like a selfish birthday present to ourselves, but it’s also a selfless birthday gift for everyone…”

KEYS N KRATES catapulted to fame after their 2013 hit “Dum Dee Dum” sold 200K downloads and its official music video racked up 5 million YouTube views to date. The three-piece steamrolled through 2014 with a headlining national tour and the release of their six-track Every Nite EP which peaked at #2 on iTunes’ Top Electronic Albums chart last September. The trio subsequently released Every Nite (The Remixes) last December, featuring an eclectic selection of reworks from Machinedrum, Darq E Freaker, Chris Lorenzo, Taiki Nulight and R3II.

The festival favourites have taken center stage at events such as Lollapalooza, EDC Vegas, Electric Zoo, Ultra Music Festival, Osheaga and Sonar Festival to name a few, and this year made their debuts at Coachella and Hangout. Still to come in 2015 are a variety of festival plays, as well as their fifth EP due out this fall.
