Humble, Gracious, and Genuine are just a few of the words you will hear fans use to describe Jacob Whitesides.

Whitesides is a seventeen year old singer-songwriter from Knoxville, Tennessee. Jacob was first inspired at a Bluegrass festival in 2008, and ever since then he knew he wanted to do music for a living. Following the festival, Jacob set out to learn how to play guitar and sing. After playing around his hometown area of East Tennessee for awhile, two years ago Jacob started uploading cover songs to YouTube as a hobby. Almost ten million views later -- here we are. Jacob is having a blast traveling throughout the country and meeting his fans known as "Whitesiders."

Jacob is an experienced guitar player who puts favorable twists on covers and is currently writing his own songs for an album in nearby Nashville with the likes of Ernie Halter and other Music Row elites. Jacob also loves to play other instruments such as drums, ukulele, and electric lead.

Jacob was voted Knoxville, Tennessee's "Best Young Voice" of the year in 2011 for the junior voice competition and for a good reason. In 2012, Jacob auditioned and made the first cut in the Fox Television music competition series X-Factor in front of judges Simon Cowell, Britney Spears, Demi Lovato, and music industry icon L.A. Reid. Since then, Jacob has been out on the road touring while perfecting his craft and playing a variety of shows, events, and festivals all over the U.S.

In June, Jacob released a cover of the One Direction smash "You & I." The single charted on the iTunes chart as high as #15 across the globe and selling well over 16,000 to date. In July, his EP "3 AM" peaked at #2 on the iTunes chart and gave Jacob his first #5 album for the sales week ending July 15th, 2014.

Jacob's first original single, "You're Perfect," that he co-wrote with Ernie Halter officially hit iTunes on Tuesday, August 5th. "You're Perfect" has sold over 25,000 copies along with airplay in Las Vegas, San Francisco, and Tampa.

Jacob was a part of the Runaround Tour and headlined OMG Music Fest shows over the summer. Recently, he headlined a sold-out west coast tour and will be touring east coast cities throughout the end of 2014, while also continuing to work on his album in nearby Nashville.
