Angie Gunn is a vibrant young member of the neo-traditional country scene in Toronto, and blessed with a perfect ‘50s country voice, and her music’s a mix of old-school country covers and original material. She has yet to make her first album.

Bobby Dove, based in Montreal, has been singing country music since she was a kid. Often hidden behind dark glasses, she looks a little like a young Bob Dylan; her music is hard-edged Americana with original songs that touch the past and fuse country and folk. American roots music star Mary Gauthier says Bobby’s a time traveler whose music is “a link in the chain that binds the future to the past.”

Sarah Jane Scouten, from BC, is constantly touring across the country and heads off later this year for her fourth tour if the UK. Her music is an engaging mix of old-time country with more than a hint of bluegrass, and her band, the Honky Tonk Wingmen, provides perfect support and gives the music a contemporary edge.
