HORSE LORDS (horselords.bandcamp.com)
Baltimore kraut space jammers return with a new Mixtape in tow. For those who missed them in the past, don't sleep on this! Slowed down time & space, their music flourishes like plant growth over a season. Sax, guitars & drums intermingle on seemingly aimless paths, dancing around each other, slowly building a greater structure. Basslines bulbous, balloon over the bottom end, as the drums keeps things on track for these languid lifers. Rhythmic repetitions increase their energy, dance grooves grow out of abstract technical guitar noodling & fatter than thou, bass funk. Sax & guitar interplay recalls classic kraut scapes over feverous drum patterns. Seriously the best band going, cancel your engagements, call in sick, do what you gotta do.

EYEBALLS (eyeballsmusic.bandcamp.com)
Jenn Kitagawa, Britton Proulx & newest eyeball Koko create some of the best blasting synth shred noise rock to be birthed in Toronto for quite sometime. Sounding something like a bunch of Godzilla movies blended into a vocoder, laden with tv static & toy alarm sound bites. Groovey danceable elements mingle with blistering, warped synth tones to create the perfect music for the modern degenerate socialite. Their power is growing!!!

RETIRED (retired1.bandcamp.com/album/retired)
Toronto free form punk jazz wanderers bring dark eerie forbidding sonic meanderings to life. Percussive movements that cruise seamlessly through ominous bass tones. Guitar growls unhinged, as saxophone splutters a bitter syrup. Like a junkyard creation slowly breaking apart as it races towards an impending destruction that will never come. Becoming more haunting & mangled as it evolves from one form to another. The swing of jazz emanates from what is more like some lost kraut jam.

SOAP (soaprippers.bandcamp.com/releases)
New punk ripper unit from members of John Milner, Your So Boss, and Kremlin. Snarling jams don't waste anytime tearing up the riffage. This true to form noise punk trio leans between more classic punk shredding & errant noise punk dissonance. Mocking maniacal laughs krackle amoungst guitar distortion. Drums & bass lock into some paniced rhythm. Come early for this brutal unit.
