MYC SHARRATT

Armed with an arsenal of bluesy guitar licks that hit like old whiskey and a smoky sweet voice that should be bottled for backyard barbecues, Myc Sharratt writes songs that draw from the heart, the working man, the dreamer.

Born and raised on Vancouver Island, Sharratt grew up listening to his parents’ record collection—heavy on guitar greats such as Eric Clapton and Jimi Hendrix. By the time Sharratt picked up the guitar at age 15, he had stockpiled a versatile catalogue of influences which now included singer-songwriters such as Dave Matthews and John Mayer. While enrolled in university, a chance encounter with members of the acoustic rock band Flannel Jimmy led Sharratt to set aside his scholastic endeavours and record his first two albums “Incomplete” and “Blueprint”, with Flannel Jimmy’s drummer Ryan Stewart at the helm. The latter album earned 5 Vancouver Island Music Award nominations, winning one for Male Vocalist of the Year.

After touring across Ireland, the US, and Canada many times over, Sharratt has earned a reputation as a memorable and soulful live act. His 2010 live album ‘Six Feet Above’ drew a VIMA Songwriter of the Year nomination and a Top 20 nod for 104.3 FM The Shore’s ‘Sounds of Summer’ contest.

Sharratt’s latest album “Cellar Door,” is about finding the sweetness and strength in life’s tragedies while embracing a carpe diem mentality. Produced across the globe, “Cellar Door” began in North Vancouver with, the now-Juno award winner, Ryan Stewart. During a tour across the pond, recording continued in Ireland with Lisa Hannigan Band alum Gavin Glass. The album was completed on Vancouver Island with Sharratt producing a majority of the album with Todd Dunsmore of Risque Disque Records. “Cellar Door” earned Sharratt a 7th VIMA nomination this time for Album of the Year in 2016.

ADAM BAILIE

Diverse life experiences inspire Adam Bae to write the songs he does. Growing up in rural Canada and Toronto exposed Adam to different cultures, resulting in him crafting music from opposing
perspectives. Bringing songs to life is perhaps his greatest gift; something he is seemingly unable to switch off. "Before anything else", he describes music.

Adam Bae is a singer-songwriter and producer on Vancouver Island, Canada. He loves the sounds of Sublime, Outkast, Bob Marley, Paul Simon and any well written and recorded pop song. His father introduced Adam to African drums from an early age, which continues to influence his music today; he frequently applies drum rhythms into his vocals and guitar playing. He always approaches a cover or foreign song with his individual interpretation and style. Adam's standout songs typically express his unique, uptempo acoustic guitar technique, alongside his sporadic vocal delivery. There is an originality about his approach to sound, stemming from his passion to bring humanity back into popular music. Adam delivers this passion in each and every recording. Using an auto-tune pedal as an instrument, rather than to correct imperfections, is a reflection of Adam's attitude and respect for the music. His writing is typically sparked, 'in the moment', allowing the song to genuinely connect and resonate with the listener. Whether you are at the beach or having an off day, there is a good chance Adam has the right song to fit your mood.

Adam Bae performs live with his eclectic, high-energy ensemble of Vancouver musicians. He has toured Canada and the U.K., as well as the west coast of the US to L.A. He also performs solo with his outboard effects handy, to enhance the experience beyond your typical folk singer. Adam has a live show that is above and beyond most performers.

Currently working on promoting his debut record, "Fire on the Beach", Adam Bae will be making big noise before his next bio re-write. Tour dates coming!
