Jeremy Gara (Arcade Fire) brings his ambient electronic solo music to the Bloor/Gladstone Branch on Thursday, November 2nd with support from rapper Emay. Presented with Make Some Noise.
Jeremy Gara, best known as drummer and multi-instrumentalist for Arcade Fire, released his solo album Limn in 2016. Featuring ten works of ambient and abstract electronic music, Limn is a musical departure from his main band. His solo songs are electronic soundscapes, creating a visual picture from sonic chaos.
Emay is a Hamilton-based rapper who creates thought-provoking hip hop that focuses on politics, philosophy and religion. His flow moves like water, sometimes rushing past over top of warped beats and other times moving slowly around bends. Ilah, his most recent release, is a tour-de-force that Emay largely wrote and produced himself.
