From the Promoter

Massey Hall announces Live at Massey Hall: Whitehorse with special guest, Terra Lightfoot on Friday, December 8, 2017 at 8pm. Whitehorse will be touring as a full band for the first time and will hit the road this fall as a five-piece.Tickets available at masseyhall.com.

A new video for the song “Die Alone,” from Massey Hall’s new Ghost Light Sessions, was shot on the theatre's grand and storied stage and shows Luke Doucet and Melissa McClelland’s exquisite harmonies and tones. From The Road To Massey Hall, an EP celebrating artists whose careers are intertwined with the venue’s history, to this striking stripped-down performance, Whitehorse’s reverence for this stage has become part of their story as well.

Whitehorse is the Toronto-born, JUNO-winning rock duo of Luke Doucet and Melissa McClelland. Their next album, Panther in the Dollhouse, will be released July 7 on Six Shooter Records. Listen to the single “Nighthawks” here. Their debut full-length album, The Fate of the World Depends on This Kiss, was shortlisted for the 2013 Polaris Music Prize. Their follow up, Leave No Bridge Unburned, won the 2016 JUNO for Alternative Album of the Year. Their newest release, The Northern South Vol. 1, finds the duo expanding their musical range further into psychedelic-tinged blues rock. They’ve toured across Canada and internationally and are renowned for their live show, which shows off Doucet’s incredible guitar skills and McClelland’s powerhouse voice.

Terra Lightfoot joins the acclaimed duo as a special guest performer for this Live at Massey Hall presentation. Since the release of Terra’s acclaimed album Every Time My Mind Runs Wild, soulful roots rocker Terra Lightfoot has wowed audiences across North America, the UK and Europe, playing hundreds of live dates in venues from cafés to coliseums and everywhere in between.
