“think The XX and Mezzanine-era Massive Attack forming a supergroup” ~ Spindle Mag (UK)
“Doomsquad is an example of a group that has the potential to defy stereotypes – Put it this way: the urban jungle would be nowhere without the witchy woods to daydream about.” ~ Impose Magazine (US)
“Doomsquad lays out a cacophonous blueprint of densely layered instrumentation and dreamlike cadences that draw you in”
~ Notes from Left of the Dial (US)
“If the tribes of the Serengeti were given computers & synthesizers to record its music, it would have the sound of Doomsquad”
“The songs on their latest, Land O’ The Silver Birch, start by introducing lush ambient vibes, immediately followed up by distant echoing vocals, spiritual proclamations, and trippy, glitched out production.” ~ DIAMOND A/T/L/A/S
“Toronto/Montreal’s Doom Squad fall somewhere between modern occult-worshiping witch house and the spiritual indie music that might do well in, say, Portland. They have an art-school vibe to them, not unlike fellow Montrealers Yamataka//Sonic Titan.” ~ Resoncity
