From Toronto to New York, Budapest to Berlin, audiences around the world are hailing the Lemon Bucket Orkestra as folk music revolutionaries. Since their inception four years ago, the band has grown from its initial quartet of buskers to a fifteen-piece guerrilla folk force with an army of fans at home and abroad.For those discovering the band, one experience is all it takes. The relentless energy of the band is beyond infectious; new and longtime fans alike speak of a liberating experience found nowhere else.
The list of LBO’s accomplishments in the last two years is staggering. Their debut album “Lume, Lume” has garnered a Juno nomination, Four Canadian Folk Music Awards nominations, and a SiriusXM Indie award nomination. They’ve won Runner-Up for “Band Of The Year” in the NOW Magazine “Best of Toronto” poll three years in a row, making them Toronto’s most-loved band. They’ve traveled to Eastern Europe and shared stages with Marko Markovic, Shantel and the Bukovina Club Orkestar, Taraf De Haidouks, and Fanfare Ciocarlia.
