Guitarist Tashi Dorji returns to Toronto with his duo come trio Manas. Drummer Thom Nguyen and percussionist Wes McCoy trade secrets & rhythms and Dorji plays angular guitar passages often spurring on the ecstatic clattering & creaking of his compatriots. This trio with a new record out on Feeding Tube Records sounds like the inner working of some infernal machine. Each player counters the other at every turn, working themselves into what comes a constant frenzy of caustic notes & drum hits. Total blasting unit. Noise heads, shred buds, avant free formers, punks gone wrong, this is the unit for you. Face rip music for the ages.

Deluxx becomes Redux as Clarinet Panic re-unite for your pleasure & pain! Hectic dream jams from cellist Cory Latkovich, avant percussionist/eccentric genius D. Alex Meeks (Hooded Fang, Holiday Rambler), saxophonist Karen Ng (Andy Shauf, Convergence Ensemble, etc) and guitarist Sebastian Shinwell. Clattering ahead like the score to a never ending horror film, inching towards climax as cello and sax play a game of back & forth only to be driven forward by systematically antagonistic drum patterns and their own instrumental curiosity. Rigid breakdowns give way to seemingly free form guitar & sax chaos, only to slam us back in the exacting grid like patterns with more force & precision that ever before.
