The Doll House presented by Alice Glass and Floria Sigismondi
Canadian electro-pop provocateur Alice Glass teams up with visionary director Floria Sigismondi to transform an 19th century fermenting cellar.
As a solo artist and founding frontwoman of Toronto synth-punks Crystal Castles, Alice Glass is an electrifying and visceral performer, able to mesmerizingly command any stage she steps foot on. On last year’s cathartic self-titled EP and a handful of singles, the singer powerfully confronted past traumas, bringing together newfound pop sensibilities with crushing post-industrial soundscapes.
Originally from Italy, raised in Hamilton, Ontario, Floria Sigismondi has spent the last two decades bringing her keen eye and unique style to music videos for David Bowie, Justin Timberlake, Marilyn Manson, Rihanna, and more. In 2010, she released her first movie, The Runaways, and next year will release her second, the supernatural horror film The Turning. Together, they’ll transform The Fermenting Cellar—which was originally constructed in 1859 —into a phantasmagoric world.
