PIFFBREAK ARCADE

Piffbreak Arcade is a 4 piece band from Toronto, Ontario. Their infusion of rock, hip-hop, and punk rock meld together to stylistically create the sound that is PBA. The band began in Dusty’s basement with the demoing of the 7 songs from 2011-2012 written by Dusty and Mike. These songs eventually became the band’s debut EP “At The Cineplex...” Over the year of 2012, Chris joined the band by adding live drums to the debut EP and eventually becoming a full time member. Chris was playing in a few projects at the time and recruited Chad to complete the band as it presently constituted.

Piffbreak Arcade has played a slew of shows across the GTA, ranging from small punk rock clubs, to larger venues, and headlining their own shows. Some highlights over the years have been their first show ever at Clinton’s in the heart of downtown Toronto, several shows at renowned Toronto music venues such as the Rivoli, Velvet Underground, and the Horseshoe Tavern; as well as the Rockpile West and East where they opened for the legendary Misfits in October of 2014.

After the release of “At The Cineplex...” PBA began playing the aforementioned shows at regular intervals. As a full band, the process of writing began for the songs which became the band’s sophomore EP “Two More Beers, Please” in spring 2015. This 6 song EP typified the current PBA sound, and the band released its first single “Amnesia.”

The band is currently working their upcoming EP set to be released in April of 2016. PBA have already recorded a single released in January--“Road Rage.” Piffbreak Arcade are looking forward to 2016 with the release of the upcoming EP, headlining shows, playing at Canadian Music Week and NXNE, as well as seeking label representation moving forward. Catch Piffbreak Arcade at their biggest headlining show yet: at the storied Lee’s Palace in Toronto on February 27th, 2016!
