From the Promoter
Hamilton hardcore punk act Dead Tired, featuring Alexisonfire frontman George Pettit, have been pumping out a collection of EPs over the last few years, which they've now collected into an album along with some bonus tracks. Full Vol. is a great way to package that material into a fully fleshed-out piece of music instead of letting solid tracks from limited-run releases fall by the wayside as their catalogue grows.
The new songs fit in perfectly with the repurposed material, as one would expect from a hardcore band, but they're fun nonetheless. "Night of 100,000 Lies" and "White Caps" are solid mid-tempo punk bangers, while "Get on Me" takes a speedier approach to the band's straightforward Black Flag worshipping sound. They also created a better flow to the music by changing up the arrangement of previously released tracks, which makes those songs feel like they work together, instead of sounding like one-off singles.
