From the Promoter
We are back! Ringing in a new decade with another great lineup of local producers performing a genre defying rage of sets covering beats, techno, and experimental. As always all sets are live, and cover is PWYC.
Toronto-based Somali-Canadian producer and beatmaker Muxubo Mohamed, whose distinct and characteristic sound is carving its own space across Toronto.
She has appeared at the Halifax Pop Explosion, Electric Eclectics Venus Fest, and was named one of NOW Magazine musicians to watch in 2018.
A project of outsider electronics from the Moscow-born, Toronto-based producer and vocalist, Soft Matter. In the club, her selections are hard, fast and unfriendly. Dress to sweat.
Bad Gateway is Ryan V. Hays (Victory Social Club / Gravity Wave) and Danny Shaddick (Dufresne / Canada Thrust). Ambient Techno bangers, built of effortless polyrhythms, driven by a shared instinct for change, performed with an infectious live dynamism.
Jeia (pronounced: JAY-uh) is a Toronto-based music producer. With influences ranging from Brian Eno and Aphex Twin to The Neptunes and Timbaland, her out-of-the-box production style is an amalgamation of atmospheric sonic painting, textural soundscapes, and rhythmical glitch and noises. Her background as a drummer adds a very prominent groove in her otherwise ambient-influenced productions.
