Swiss composer, sonic activist, and noise experimentalist Dave Phillips (Schimpfluch Gruppe, Fear Of God) returns to Toronto for the first time in well over a decade. Phillips creates haunting confrontational soundscapes from mutated samples and twisted loops in a performative exorcism. Searing tones whine as manipulated vocals erupt over a scorched earth. Samples of bodily gurgling skitter like insects in the undergrowth. A master of sonic tension and balancing extremes, Phillips lures you into his world with stunning dynamism only to bury you in the thick sonic cloth of a tortured pulsating organism. Max Klebanoff (Tomb Mold)'s industrial noise unit thrives on buried rhythmic nodes under walls of crackling distortion and blistering sonic disfigurement. Nascent hums blossom into spectral ambient drones. Gnarled electronic pulses waver in grand fields of dissonance. Granulated tones crumble and reform as the tracking adjusts on Death Kneel's harsh noise synthesized into medotative soundscape creation.

The solo workhorse of infamous experimenter Andrew Zukerman melds home made electronics with mashed up tape loops. Zukerman's work draws of a plethora of sources, references & sounds while still maintaing continuity. His sense of humour & nostalgia play out as an inexplicable buoyancy in his compositions, often getting derailed into to some minimalist holding pattern before breaking free like some child finally out of his parents grasp. Meditative, chaotic, compelling music. For fans of music.
