From the Promoter
Canadian walking musician Michael Averill will be releasing his much-anticipated new album “All We Ever Need,” on April 21st.
Michael Averill is an adventurous Canadian troubadour who delivers stories and songs of serendipity around the country. Through heartfelt roots, folk, and blues, Michael captivates his audiences and invites them to connect deeper within themselves and their communities. The Kelowna native’s album project, “I’d Rather Walk,” was inspired by his late singer/songwriting father, Garry Averill, which led to Michael literally walking through Canada. It was a tribute to his father (an avid walker) and an initiative to encourage conversation around the country regarding life, loss, and wellness.
Michael’s new release “All We Ever Need,” is a follow up to his walking tour that began in 2013. It is a collection of songs inspired by his walks (over 2200 miles) through various regions of the country, and the people and places Michael encountered on the way.
