From the Promoter

The Rogue Folk Club, a non-profit society, is a vital part of the Vancouver roots music scene, and has been for 30 years, under the guidance of our award-winning Artistic Director, Steve Edge. We host up to 50 concerts a year, in the lovely St. James Hall showcasing local, Canadian and international musicians at a reasonable ticket price. This MAJOR FUNDRAISER, only the second in the history of the Club, with a goal of raising $25,000, is crucial in the Rogue’s ability to continue to present top of the line performers to Vancouver concert-goers.

This show is a very special one for the Rogue Folk Club. It's the culmination of our very first ever Silent Auction, possibly the biggest fundraising initiative we've ever undertaken. By that time, folks will have had the opportunity to bid on dozens and dozens of great items on-line. There will also be an opportunity to bid on items at the Hall on November 25th, and the winners of the major items will be announced. Each person will receive a ticket for a free beverage of their choice, and there will be some munchies available. As if that wasn't enough, there will be a specially selected bill of entertainment!

Stephen Fearing describes himself this way: "I'm a musician, a singer/songwriter, a producer, a guitar player, a photographer, troubadour and traveller, a gypsy with a driver's license and a camera, one third of Blackie and The Rodeo Kings and one half of Fearing & White. Stephen was also our first ever official presentation as the Rogue Folk Club, at the old Savoy nightclub in Gastown on May 10th in 1987. Also, he’s Member #1 - the first person to ever take out a membership in the Club! Stephen is currently nominated for 4 2017 Canadian Folk Music Awards.
