In 2000 KiSS 92 launched WHAM BAM – the KiSS 92 Summer concert featuring some of the biggest artists back in the day including: Usher, Destiny’s Child, P. Diddy, Ja Rule, Jay Z and 50 Cent! WHAM BAM originated at Kingswood and evolved into Rogers Centre (formerly Skydome). The final WHAM BAM concert was held at The Molson Amphitheatre with Jay Z and 50 Cent for a sold-out show in 2003!

In 2010 – KiSS 92.5 and Live Nation brought back WHAM BAM – one of the summer’s biggest concerts featuring: Adam Lambert, Kardinal Offishall, Orianthi, Karl Wolf, Danny Fernandes, Fefe Dobson, Spose & Aleesia. In 2011 KiSS 92.5 and Live Nation did it all again with Ke$ha, LMFAO, Spank Rock and Akon.

Toronto’s # 1 Hit Music Station - KiSS 92.5 and Live Nation are back with WHAM BAM 2012 featuring The Wanted & Carly Rae Jepsen with special guests Karmin, Conor Maynard, Rita Ora and The Ready Set August 16th at Molson Canadian Amphitheatre.

Make no mistake about it: The Wanted are having the time of their lives. Only a year on from their huge Number One debut single ‘All Time Low’ and they have already become one of Britain’s biggest, most brilliant pop bands, living a dream that has far surpassed even their most optimistic expectations and all with their best mates at their side.
Hard working and quite plainly loving every single second, the band have already notched up four anthemic Top Five singles and two Number Ones, been viewed a staggering 30 million times on YouTube views and sold 400,000 copies of their eponymous debut album, which shook pop music to its core upon its release last October. A year on and The Wanted are now set to shake up the charts all over again with their feverishly anticipated second album, a euphoric widescreen classic of epic-pop proportions. It comes at the end of simply phenomenal 2011, a year that has seen The Wanted become serious pop players.

“I guess there’s a part of you that always wants to try something a little bit different than what you’ve done before,” says Carly Rae Jepsen.

That’s curiosity for you. It’s a good instinct to have. Without it, this Vancouver-based musician would never have left her Mission, B.C. hometown for the life of a singer-songwriter -- a career that’s so far produced an acclaimed debut album (2008’s Tug of War), two gold-certified singles (“Bucket,” “Tug of War”) and -- to top it all -- two 2010 Juno Award nominations for Best New Artist and Songwriter of the Year.

She also wouldn’t have Curiosity. That’s her new record, a collection of heart-on-sleeve pop songs about, fittingly enough, life’s biggest curiosity -- love, and all the complications that come with it. Its sound -- a blend of confessional lyrics, sweet acoustic gems and straight-up pop -- is just as strangely fascinating, not least of all to Carly herself. How she stumbled upon one of its main inspirations is still something of a wonder.
