Brought to you by INK Entertainment and Live Nation, the Grammy-nominated hip-hop rapper Nas will screen his documentary film, Nas: Time is Illmatic immediately followed by a full performance of his 1994 debut album Illmatic at The Queen Elizabeth Theatre on Wednesday, October 8, 2014.

The film directed by multimedia artist, One9, written by Erik Parker, and produced by One9, Parker, and Anthony Saleh will open theatrically via Tribeca Films beginning in New York on October 1st. It will also be available on demand and iTunes starting October 3rd. The Time Is Illmatic Tour and the theatrical release of the film will cap off Illmatic’s 20th anniversary celebration.

Since Illmatic 1994, Nas has released eight consecutive platinum and multi-platinum albums and sold over 25 million records worldwide. Illmatic received universal acclaim from both critics and the hip-hop community and is frequently ranked as one of the greatest hip-hop albums of all time. Nas’ follow-up album It Was Written debuted at number 1 on the Billboard Charts, stayed on top for four consecutive weeks, went platinum twice in only two months, and made Nas internationally known. He has six number 1 albums on the Billboard 200.
